System Requirements
GoLive CyberStudio recommends Mac® OS 7.6 or later installed on your computer. GoLive CyberStudio runs on any Apple® Power Macintosh® or 100% compatible computer with a minimum of 8 Megabytes of free RAM (Random Access Memory). GoLive CyberStudio's preferred memory size is 12 MB. Installing the Project Module increases recommended memory size to 16 MB.
Installation
Your copy of GoLive CyberStudio 2 has two installer application options. Double-click the installer icon that corresponds to the current version of your operating system. (Mac OS 7 users should choose the Mac OS 7 installer option. Mac OS 8 users should choose the Mac OS 8 installer option.) Select the destination folder in the installer window.
In addition to the custom install (default) option, the installer offers three other options to install:
Basic Version
This option installs the complete “GoLive CyberStudio 2 Basic Version.” This includes the SCLSharedLib 1.1 library, a Plugin and Modules folder, the “GoLive CyberStudio Guide,” and the License Agreement. The Mac OS 7 installer also installs the ObjectSupportLib and the TextEncodingConverter into the Extensions folder and the Text Encoding folder located in the System Folder.
Professional Version
This option installs the complete “GoLive CyberStudio 2 Basic Version” plus AsiaEncoding, RealWebColor, Scripting, and Network functionalities.
Enterprise Version
This option installs the complete “GoLive CyberStudio 2 Professional Version” with WebObjects functionalities.
The Modules folder contains further installation options for the following modules and files:
NOTE: Mac OS 8 requires the Mac OS 8 Module to properly display forms. This module will be installed regardless of which installation option is chosen.
A folder titled “Text Encodings” containing the Text Encoding Converter Documents will be placed in the System Folder, and a file titled “Text Encoding Converter library ” will be installed into the Extensions folder.
The “Modules” folder is installed in the same folder as the CyberStudio 2 application. The Modules folder contains optional code fragments for the Project list, Network, Preview, AsiaEncoding, WebColor, Color Picker, Scripting, WebObjects, Mac OS 8, Internet Explorer, Spellchecker, TECEncoder, HTMLOutline editor and Stationery modules. The file “SCLSharedLib 1.1” will be installed in the Extensions folder within the System Folder.
The Plugins folder is reserved for third-party Web browser plugin extensions. To copy plugins, hold down the Option key and select the contents of your browser's Plugins folder. Drag the selected files to the Plugins folder in the GoLive CyberStudio 2 application folder. This ensures that you have the same multimedia and viewing resources your viewing audience. All three standard installation options install the QuickTime Plugin and ProjectXPlugInPPC.
You can, at a later date, install additional elements of the application. Double-click the appropriate installation application, locate the CyberStudio 2 folder, choose the desired items, and click “Install.”
The Installer Log located on your hard disk will contain information regarding all of the installed files and their respective locations.
